"Becoming an Aqua Ranger gave me the confidence to dive into marine research. I landed my first conservation job before graduation!"

HOW WE FUND IT
The Lionfish Bites & Beats Model
2. Education
Live filleting demos teach guests how to safely handle
lionfish while sharing why they're harmful to our reefs —
sparking awareness through storytelling and science.

3. Entertainment
1. Conservation
Invasive lionfish are removed from local reefs and
transformed into flavorful dishes and handcrafted jewelry —
turning a reef threat into a source of sustainability and
funding for marine conservation programs.
Our signature Lionfish Bites & Beats events and Jam & Jewelry nights turn invasive species into opportunity. Every lionfish meal and jewelry sale funds Aqua Ranger scholarships.
Local live music (by our dive crew!) and fun raffle
giveaways create a laid-back, vibrant atmosphere that
keeps guests engaged and coming back for more.

SUCCESS IN NUMBERS
-
$13,400+ USD raised from Lionfish meals & jewelry
-
82 SCUBA certifications sponsored since 2023
-
160+ local high school students participated in environmental conservation courses
-
8 Aqua Rangers have secured Blue Economy jobs in under two years
-
Launched 2021, and already transforming lives and coral communities

This isn’t just a dive trip. It’s a transformational journey that empowers young people to:
-
Understand marine issues from a global and local perspective
-
Participate in hands-on conservation work, from coral planting to reef cleanups
-
Learn how their individual choices ripple outward into community and policy change
-
Build leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking skills through active problem-solving and group collaboration
-
Form a personal connection to the ocean — not just as divers, but as protectors
By the end of the program, students don’t just leave with new dive experiences — they leave with a mission, a toolkit of knowledge, and the confidence to become advocates for a healthier ocean future.
Whether you’re a high school, college, youth camp, or environmental program, this experience offers a perfect blend of marine science, action-based learning, and personal growth in one unforgettable week.
