WHO WE ARE
Meet the
Aquanauts Family

At Aquanauts Grenada, diving isn’t just our business — it’s our way of life. We’re a proud family-run dive operation rooted in adventure, conservation, and community. What began as a worldwide search for a new home led us to the vibrant shores of Grenada — a hidden gem where the reefs are thriving, the people are warm, and every day offers a new story both above and below the surface.

Grenada spoke to us in the language of the sea — through world-class wrecks, colorful reefs, and a culture that values connection. It reminded us of what truly matters: exploration, laughter, shared meals, and unforgettable moments. That’s what we bring to every dive and every guest who joins our Aqua-Family.
Meet the Geers
Tyler
Our Dive Operations Lead, Gas Blender, and Instructor, Tyler brings a depth of technical know-how and calm confidence to every dive experience. From gear maintenance to teaching advanced dive theory, Ty’s gift is making complex things feel simple — and helping divers of all levels feel empowered in the water.
Tiffany
Marketing Manager, Events Coordinator, Dive Pro, and resident Yogi, Tiffany wears many hats — and wears them well. She’s the creative force behind our social media, eco-initiatives, and unforgettable guest experiences. Whether she’s teaching yoga, assisting on dives, or organizing conservation efforts, Tiffany’s passion for the ocean and community shines through.
Tammy
The heart of Aquanauts, Tammy ensures every guest feels like family. A diver, storyteller, and experience curator, she’s all about laughter, connection, and creating moments that become lifelong memories. If you leave with a full heart (and likely a full belly), Tammy had something to do with it.
Tom
A seasoned Instructor and ocean enthusiast, Tom has taught countless divers over the years. Known for his calm teaching style and deep love of the sea, Tom’s goal is to help every student not just earn a certification — but truly fall in love with the underwater world.
Meet Our
Team

CEO & SSI Divemaster Instructor
Tom Geer
As CEO of Aquanauts Grenada, Tom Geer oversees all aspects of the operation with steady vision, heart, and decades of experience. He’s a certified Diveheart, SSI, PADI, and HSA Instructor with advanced training through GUE, and brings a passion for both teaching and community-driven initiatives to everything he does.

After the Geer family took over the business in the wake of COVID-19, Tom was instrumental in rebuilding and transforming Aquanauts Grenada into one of the Caribbean’s most respected and inclusive dive operations.

His leadership is rooted in a love for diving, education, and fostering a community where everyone feels welcome—whether they’re joining us for their first dive or their hundredth. From shaping strategy to supporting the team behind the scenes, Tom’s commitment to excellence and innovation continues to define the future of Aquanauts.

Outside the shop, you’ll find Tom with a guitar in hand, enjoying jam nights with family and friends—bringing the same laid-back, joyful energy to music that he brings to the dive world.

CFO & SSI Divemaster
Tammy Geer
Tammy Geer is the heart and energy of Aquanauts Grenada. As CFO, she plays a key role in keeping the business running smoothly—but it’s her vibrant personality and even bigger heart that truly set her apart.

Known affectionately as everyone’s “island mom,” Tammy brings warmth, humor, and a deep sense of care to both our team and our guests. She’s the first to celebrate a win, lend a hand, or light up the room—making everyone feel like part of the Aquanauts family.

Tammy is also a creative force behind the scenes. From leading shop renovations to crafting her handmade lionfish jewelry collection, her artistic flair adds a personal and meaningful touch to the space we call home.

Operations Manager, Boat Captain & SSI Instructor Trainer
Tyler (Ty) Geer
Ty Geer is the driving force behind the day-to-day operations at Aquanauts Grenada. As our Operations Manager, boat captain, and a certified Diveheart, SSI, PADI, SDI, TDI, and HSA Instructor with GUE training, Ty brings a powerhouse blend of technical skill, leadership, and high-energy enthusiasm to everything he does.

With years of experience both above and below the surface, Ty keeps the Aquanauts engine running smoothly—both literally and figuratively. As an SSI Instructor Trainer, he creates a training environment that’s as professional as it is fun, earning him a reputation as a mentor who brings out the best in every student.

After experiencing a near-paralysis injury in 2013, Ty became a passionate advocate for inclusive diving. His personal journey is a key reason Aquanauts Grenada is now a certified Diveheart Adaptive Diving Training Facility, offering support and opportunity to divers of all abilities.

Marketing and Reservations Manager, Event Coordinator, and SSI Assistant Instructor
Tiffany Geer
Tiffany wears many hats at Aquanauts—and wears them exceptionally well. As our Marketing Manager, Bookings and Reservations Manager, Event Coordinator, and an SSI Assistant Instructor, she plays a central role in shaping both the guest experience and the heartbeat of daily operations.

Most days you'll find her in the office managing bookings, communications, and creative campaigns—but her favorite days are spent out on the boats with guests or facilitating eco-initiatives with the community. Currently working toward her full Instructor rating, Tiffany is a rising talent in the dive world, bringing bright energy, thoughtful organization, and a deep commitment to ocean conservation into everything she does.

Also a certified yoga instructor, Tiffany believes in the power of mindfulness, movement, and meaningful experiences. Her passion for environmental sustainability shines through in her belief that scuba diving is more than a sport—it’s a powerful tool for education, awareness, and connection with the natural world.

Director of Education & SSI Master Instructor
Andrew Knepper
With over a decade of experience in the diving industry, Andrew serves as the Director of Education at Aquanauts Grenada and is a certified SSI Master Instructor. He’s passionate about developing confident, capable divers who are inspired to keep exploring long after certification.

Known for his thoughtful approach and ability to connect with students, Andrew finds some of the greatest fulfillment in helping new divers overcome fear and discover the magic of the underwater world.

In addition to leading our education programs, Andrew helps shape the visual identity of Aquanauts Grenada—providing creative direction, ensuring brand consistency, and contributing to projects like our website redesign and educational flowcharts that enhance the overall experience for both divers and staff.

Shop Support & Official Smile Patrol
Grandma Carol
Known lovingly as “Grandma” around the shop, Carol is the heart and soul behind the scenes at Aquanauts Grenada. Always ready with a warm welcome and a contagious laugh, she helps out wherever she’s needed and keeps the positive energy flowing throughout the team.

Her favorite role? Smile Patrol. She loves greeting guests after their dives, hearing about their underwater adventures, and sharing in the joy of the day. While Grandma doesn’t scuba dive herself, she has a special love for seahorses—fitting for someone who’s adored carousel horses all her life.

Outside the shop, Grandma Carol’s true element is the dance floor. Whether it’s soca, calypso, waltz, line dancing—or even the stanky leg—she brings the same joy and energy to dancing that she does to everything else. With Grandma around, there’s always something to smile about.

Lead Boat Captain, SSI Assistant Instructor & Diveheart Adaptive Dive Buddy
"Papa" Burce Harvey
With over 20 years of experience in the diving industry, Bruce—affectionately known as “Papa Bruce”—is a pillar of the Aquanauts Grenada team. As our lead boat captain and an experienced trainer, Bruce brings unwavering dedication, deep local knowledge, and a rock-solid commitment to safety that defines every trip he leads.

Respected for his work ethic and admired for his heart, Bruce is the kind of teammate who always goes the extra mile—sticking around until the job is done and ensuring every detail is taken care of. His passion for the craft can’t be overstated, and his calm presence, sharp skill, and signature laugh have a way of lifting everyone around him.
With Papa Bruce at the helm, you’re not just in capable hands—you’re part of something special.

Boat Captain & SSI Divemaster
"Captain Larry" Sylvester
Larry is one of our dedicated and hardworking captains at Aquanauts Grenada, as well as a certified SSI Divemaster. With a passion for both people and the sea, he thrives on the adventure that each day on the water brings.

What Larry loves most is the constant variety—no two days are ever the same. From the guests he meets to the shifting weather and surprise encounters with marine life, he embraces the ever-changing nature of life on (and in) the ocean. His adaptability, friendly energy, and steady presence make him a key part of the Aquanauts experience.

SSI Instructor & Diveheart Instructor
Mirko Diekmann
Mirko is an SSI Instructor and certified Diveheart Adaptive Scuba Instructor at Aquanauts Grenada. Fluent in both English and German, he loves teaching and is passionate about showing the underwater world to others and helping them realize how beautiful it is. He believes that once you’ve explored below the surface, you become more mindful and aware of the need to protect the oceans—and that once you go scuba diving, you come back to land a different person with an altered perspective. “It’s a different world on the same planet.”

Mirko is especially drawn to the grace of rays and turtles. Watching them move through the water—gliding effortlessly as if flying—reminds him of the ocean’s quiet elegance and power.

When he’s not diving, Mirko treasures time with his son, Miles. He’s also an avid reader and lifelong fisherman, a passion he developed during years spent fishing across Europe with his father. Whether underwater or on the shoreline, Mirko’s love for nature, family, and reflection shines through in everything he does.

SSI Divemaster & Diveheart Advanced Adaptive Buddy
Frankie Williams
Frankie brings energy, heart, and island-born hospitality to everything he does at Aquanauts Grenada. As a SSI Dive Master and Dock Master, he’s one of the first faces you’ll see when stepping onto our dock. Friendly, focused, and always ready to lend a hand, Fraienkie thrives on making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience above and below the surface.

Growing up in Grenada, Frankie heard all sorts of stories about scuba diving—most of them cautionary tales from local fishermen. For a long time, he believed that diving was dangerous. But curiosity got the better of him. After spending time around the dive shop and helping out on the dock, he decided to try it for himself. Once he took his first breath underwater during his Open Water course, everything changed. He discovered that diving wasn’t just safe—it was calming, exhilarating, and deeply motivating. From that moment on, he was hooked. Frankie set his sights on becoming a Dive Master, and hasn’t looked back.

Today, he finds joy in introducing others to the ocean, sharing stories, and watching guests fall in love with diving the same way he did. He’s also trained as a Diveheart Advanced Adaptive Buddy, assisting divers of all abilities in exploring the underwater world. His favorite underwater creature? The octopus—for its cleverness, camouflage, and quiet brilliance.

SSI Divemaster
Myron Benjiman
Myron is a longtime SSI Dive Master at Aquanauts Grenada with a sharp eye for safety and a soft spot for seahorses. Whether he’s rocking fresh sunglasses, a signature chain, or a perfectly styled head of hair, Myron is all about good vibes and great experiences. But make no mistake—his top priority is always guest safety and making sure everyone has a memorable time underwater. “Once the guests are happy, I’m happy.”

Myron has been part of the Aquanauts family for over 12 years, and in that time, he’s earned a legendary reputation as The Seahorse Whisperer. It all started when Bruce showed him his very first seahorse on a dive. Instantly fascinated, Myron went home, studied their habits, and became dedicated to finding them again. Today, he spots them with uncanny precision—so much so that guests often joke he’s hiding them in his pocket. His favorite? The vibrant yellow seahorse, which he calls “phenomenal” for the way it brings color and life to the reef.

Outside of diving, Myron’s passion is sports—all sports. From soccer and football to tennis, golf, basketball, and cricket, he’s always up for watching or playing. Growing up, he spent Sundays playing cricket on Grand Anse Beach, often posted up near the shore because, as his friends would say, he was “the water baby.”

SSI Instructor & Dockmaster
Diego Avina
Diego is an SSI Instructor and Dockmaster at Aquanauts Grenada, known for his strong work ethic, calm demeanor, and top-tier customer service. Whether he's loading tanks, briefing divers, or organizing the dock, Diego approaches every task with focus and professionalism—making sure each day on the water runs smoothly from start to finish. He thrives on the energy of the dive boats and enjoys every opportunity to interact with guests. For Diego, it’s not just about logistics—it’s about creating a welcoming environment where people feel taken care of, supported, and excited for what’s ahead. His quiet confidence and attention to detail don’t go unnoticed by guests or teammates.

As an instructor, Diego is patient and clear, guiding students through their underwater journey with care and precision. On the dock, he’s the go-to guy for keeping things running efficiently and safely.

Whether he’s teaching skills in the water or helping divers gear up on the boat, Diego brings reliability, heart, and a whole lot of behind-the-scenes excellence to the Aquanauts crew.

Known for his welcoming spirit and easygoing vibe, Ackie loves meeting new people, making new friends, and sharing laughter along the way. Whether he’s guiding a dive or assisting on the dock, he’s always focused on safety—but never forgets that fun is part of the experience too.

While some divers are drawn to the big, bold creatures of the deep, Ackie’s heart belongs to the small stuff. He’s a macro enthusiast through and through—completely captivated by frogfish, nudibranchs, and seahorses. For him, the thrill lies in the challenge of spotting these elusive, colorful critters and watching their fascinating behavior unfold, especially when they’re drifting through the water or going into hunting mode.

Outside of work, Ackie enjoys soaking up the best of island life. Whether he’s spending time with friends and family or showing visitors just how special Grenada is, he’s always up for good conversation, great company, and creating memories that last. For Ackie, life is about connection—both underwater and above.

Reservations Specialist & Group Booking Coordinator
Jadin Lewis
Jadin brings a bright, friendly energy to the Aquanauts Grenada team as one of our Reservations Specialists. Lately, she’s stepped into a larger role, managing communications for group bookings and helping coordinate the details that make big dive trips run smoothly. Whether she’s answering inquiries or organizing logistics behind the scenes, Jadin’s focus is always on making guests feel welcomed and well cared for from the very first message.

She loves the family-style atmosphere around the shop and especially enjoys the daily camaraderie with “the boys.” For her, it’s not just a job—it’s a place where connection and good vibes are part of the rhythm. Her favorite underwater creatures? Dolphins—outgoing, social, and full of personality. She’s always been fascinated by how naturally they interact with people, and how much joy they seem to bring to anyone lucky enough to see them on a dive.

Outside of work, Jadin enjoys life to the fullest. She loves beach days with her daughter, dancing to soca music, and liming with friends. Whether she’s coordinating dive schedules or vibing at a weekend party, Jadin shows up with heart, laughter, and a whole lot of island spirit.

Reservation Specialist
Kitanna Gabriel
Kitanna is the first point of contact for many Aquanauts guests, helping to set the tone for their entire experience. As our Reservations Specialist, she works primarily out of our Grand Anse Beach location, where she enjoys the peaceful setting that allows her to focus on thoughtful, timely communication with divers from around the world. She loves making meaningful connections, and nothing makes her day more than hearing that a guest came into the shop asking to meet her after working with her online. While she may be behind the scenes, Kitanna plays a key role in creating smooth, stress-free dive holidays—and takes pride in helping people feel confident and excited before they even arrive.

Her favorite marine animals are turtles and dolphins. She’s drawn to turtles for their long lives and quiet charm, especially the contrast between their slow movements on land and effortless glide underwater. Dolphins capture her curiosity for their intelligence—especially the fun fact that they use more of their brain than we do.

Outside of the dive world, Kitanna is an explorer at heart. She’s a passionate foodie who loves trying new restaurants and cuisines, and a big fan of anime and suspenseful action or mystery series that keep her hooked from start to finish.
