This years first successful Lionfish eradication days - on the 3rd and 4th of January we killed a total of 28 fish and the chef of Dodgy Dock prepared delishious dishes from it. Will keep you posted on the next hunting day.
Lionfish Derby - on December 1st 2012; the Grenada dive shops will come together to organize the countries first hunting event of the Caribbean's new menace - Lionfish. As beautiful as they are, they are a threat to the indigenious species as they don't have any natural predators in the Atlantic ocean and have a big appetite for juvenile fish, thus reducing the diversity of our reefs. Our dive masters will bring the speared lion fish to Grand Anse Beach near Umbrellas, where a cookout and lessons how to prepare this very tasteful fish.
